The goal of this 40 hour Management of Electrical & Electronic Control Equipment (RESOLV-176) is to provide knowledge and understanding of how to perform management level tasks, duties, and responsibilities related to electrical and electronic control engineering equipment of ships powered by main propulsions machinery of 3,000 KW propulsion power or more.
Successful completion of this course will satisfy the training requirements of 46 CFR11.325(a)(3)(iii) and (b)(3); 46 CFR 11.327(a)(3)(iii) and (b)(3); 46 CFR 11.331(a)(3)(iii)and (b)(3); and 46 CFR 11.333(a)(3)(iii) and (b)(3). Satisfies the training requirements for Management of Electrical & Electronic Control Equipment (MEECE) for current Chief and First Assistant Engineers.
NOTE: If you currently have an STCW endorsement as a CE or 2E (STCW second engineering officer also known as first assistant engineer), you need this MEECE training by December 31, 2016 for renewal of your STCW endorsement to be valid on January 01, 2017. Practical Assessments are only required for an original STCW endorsement as CE or 2E. This course does not satisfy practical assessment competencies required by STCW, as amended 2010. Anytime AFTER January 1, 2017 the MEECE course will run as a 2 week course under the 2017 compliance.
