Advanced Firefighting – USCG
Through classroom instruction and practical exercises, Resolve Academy’s Advanced Firefighting- USCG course covers the four core components as required under the USCG NVIC 09-14 and 46 CFR 11.303 standards. Students complete the course over four days of training. The U.S. Coast Guard Advanced Firefighting Course is designed to provide firefighting skills of maritime professionals. This comprehensive course ensures that participants remain up-to-date with the latest firefighting techniques, regulations, and industry standards, equipping them to handle fire emergencies effectively and safely.
This course fulfills the U.S. Coast Guard requirement for the Advanced Firefighting certification. Participants will refresh their knowledge and skills. Whether operating on commercial vessels, offshore platforms, or in other maritime environments, the U.S. Coast Guard Advanced Firefighting Course at Resolve Maritime Academy provides maritime professionals with the essential training needed to maintain their competency and readiness to handle complex fire incidents.
The U.S. Coast Guard Advanced Firefighting course is open to mariners working in the maritime industry, this course provides the necessary training to meet and satisfy the USCG requirement (46CFR Part 11.201(h) and 11.303 (a)).
Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to effectively manage emergency responses related to onboard fire.
A course completion certificate is issued to the student upon the successful completion of all course requirements and assessments.
A mariner who successfully completes the course satisfies the following requirements:
- Control Firefighter Operation aboard ships
- Organize and Train Fire Parties
- Inspect and Service Fire Detection and Fire Extinguishing Systems
- Investigate and Compile Reports on Incidents Involving Fire
