Advanced Firefighting – USCG

Through classroom instruction and practical exercises, the Advance Marine Firefighting course will cover the four core components as required under the USCG NVIC 09-14 and 46 CFR 11.303 standards.

Target Audience

The course is open to mariners who are working in the maritime industry. This course provides the necessary training to meet and satisfy the USCG requirement (46CFR Part 11.201(h) and 11.303 (a)) or license upgrade and renewal.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this course, the students will be able to effectively manage emergency response.

Entry Standards

A course completion certificate will be issued to the student upon the successful completion of all course requirements and assessments.

A mariner who successfully completes the course will satisfy the following requirements:

• Control Firefighter Operation aboard ships
• Organize and Train Fire Parties
• Inspect and Service Fire Detection and Fire Extinguishing Systems
• Investigate and Compile Reports on Incidents Involving Fire
