The aim of the small boat operators course is to introduce novice boat handlers to boat handling techniques, electronic navigation, rules of the road, search and rescue techniques, and vessel familiarization. The small boat operators course is a 4-day course blending theory and practical training styles to set a solid foundation to build on. The first day is classroom theory followed by three days of boat handling on the water.
