As leader in yacht and shipboard fire training, Resolve was able to develop this program—the only one of its kind in the nation—and have retired US Navy firefighter Tom Jones lead the training. Training included classroom instruction, controlled burn simulation exercises with a live infrared video feed from inside the unit, and a yacht facility tour.
American International Group, Inc. (AIG) has teamed up with Resolve Maritime Academy and the independent brokers at Atlass Insurance and Roscioli Yachting Center to offer the program to local firefighters. Through its Private Client Group, the member companies of AIG insure more than 200 80-ft yachts worldwide.
The training was held two weeks before the Ft. Lauderdale International Boat Show and this program was previously attended by firefighters from West Palm Beach Fire Rescue last November. This incredible three-day course was also featured in the Sun Sentinel.
