NSU Project HazMIRTSI invited Resolve Academy to develop a 4-day Off-Shore Haz-Mat Response course based on the safe “boat-to-boat” transfer of Responders and properly packaged patients while underway at sea.
The program begins with shipboard familiarity including vessel stability and common boarding practices.
After briefing, the participants make their way to our indoor pool for water survival training practicing with unconventional personal floatation devices designed for first responders when in PPE.
Then it’s on to Resolve Academy’s Live Fire/Damage Control simulator T/V Resolve Vision providing a realistic static training platform that employs all aspects of Haz-Mat/TRT response such as climbing pilot ladders, Rigging, Damage Control, Confined space scenarios and Patient Packaging.
